Fiscal Cliff Response

The "Fiscal Cliff" issue is causing huge debate between Democrats and Republicans. They have completely different views on the issue at hand. Democrats believe that they should repeal the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. Republicans, however, believe they should have more spending and extend tax rates for families making less than $450,000.

Google has many things to offer for people who would like to research. I decided to use a specific approach. To find the views of both parties, I added quotation marks to the words fiscal cliff and added the words "democratic", "republican" and "views". I kept receiving unwanted results so I added minus signs to words like "Tzu", "Sun", and "President".

  1. You've misunderstood the Republicans: they wanted more spending cuts, not more spending. I'm curious about why you ended up with a lot of results linked to Sun Tzu's "Art of War." Also, you have not listed the sources you used.
